Gates

Custom single and double gates — board-on-board, horizontal, nail-on, arched, and lattice-topped designs built in a similar style to your surrounding fence.

Custom Gates

Custom Gates,
Done Right.

We build a wide variety of gates to suit your property's needs — whether it's a single entry, double, arched, lattice-topped, or modern horizontal design. We aim to build in a similar style to the surrounding fence to keep things consistent.

We prefer to keep single gates to no wider than 4 feet for longevity. For wider openings, a double gate — where each side is under 4 feet — is typically the better long-term solution.

We use heavy duty latches and hinges. For larger gates, there may be a possibility of using larger posts — like a 4x6 or 6x6 — if the gate size calls for it.

Our Process

How It Works

1

Site Walk

We come out for a free site walk, assess the opening and your existing fence, and discuss what style and hardware makes sense.

2

Detailed Estimate

We email you a detailed estimate with a clear total price, broken down box by box. That price will not change unless you change the scope.

3

Installation

We show up on time and work efficiently. We aim to complete the project in one day, depending on job size.

4

Clean Completion

We clean up to the best of our abilities when the work is done and haul away all old material and debris.

* Old fence posts and concrete are not removed below ground level.

FAQ

Common Questions

Why do gates sag over time?+

More often than not, a sagging gate comes down to a bad, rotten, or snapped post. Without a solid post holding the gate in place, the gate frame loses its support and starts to drop. In some cases it can also be the gate frame itself or the hardware. We'll diagnose the actual cause and fix it the right way.

How wide can a gate be?+

We typically prefer not to go wider than 4 feet on a single gate for longevity. Beyond that, a double gate — where each side is under 4 feet — is usually the better solution. It keeps each gate panel manageable and reduces the stress on the posts and hardware over time.

What latch options are available?+

We offer gravity latches (standard), post latches, keypad latches, and keyed latches. We'll recommend what makes sense for your gate style and how it will be used.

Can you match my existing fence style?+

We aim to build in a similar style to the surrounding fence whenever possible, using the same or closely matching material and profile. Keep in mind that color will look different — the new material is fresh wood and the existing fence has weathered over time. They will blend more as the new wood ages.
